Why should the United States be a model of global democracy? The US is far from perfect and should deal with their own problems before looking for others'.
Perhaps we need to start a conversation with our own economic power elite that's those in our society that have been financially successful at accumulating and concentrating wealth as to the proper way to deal with the discontinuity in terms of income distribution and social and democratic health which is essential to their success and to society's success.
